For YouTube’s Coachella live stream, the goal was to build excitement and get fans to tune in from home. The insight was simple: many of the artists performing started their careers by uploading videos to YouTube. That led to “From YouTube to Coachella,” a social-first series that celebrated these artists’ journeys and their full-circle moment on one of the biggest stages in the world. The campaign turned the live stream into something fans didn’t just watch, but felt connected to.
