Alzheimer’s and dementia impact over 55 million people worldwide, and in Argentina, one in eight adults over 65 is living with the disease. One of the most common symptoms is face confusion, where people have trouble recognizing even the people closest to them. To bring attention to this, we partnered with TNT Sports and Defensa y Justicia to use one of the country’s most beloved players, Nicolás “Uvita” Fernández. For a full week, we quietly swapped him out for a lookalike across social media and during live match previews. Some fans caught on, many didn’t. At the end of the week, we revealed the switch, sparking a national conversation and giving people a small but powerful glimpse into what living with face confusion can feel like.
